Orientation Days Part 2

Thursday evening at 5 we had a student life workshop. Two of the people that work at FUA talked to us about stuff like bus/train tickets, bikes, markets, and good restaurants. It was semi-interesting and only an hour! Then on our walk home we found a sephora! However, very sadly, I wasn't able to find my two favorite eye shadows. So very sad! Then we came home and ate pasta with red sauce. We had a lengthy roomie dinner and it was very enjoyable. I got talk to SR on Skype! I learned Thursday that the time difference really puts a damper on my schedule. When I'm free in the afternoon, people at home are just waking up and going to work/class. When I'm free in the evening, people are either still wherever they go during the day or busy. Apparently these things must be scheduled in advance, but I can work with that! Since we got our own internet set up and are no longer stealing someone else’s, I have full bars most all the time. So that is such a wonderful thing, especially since I'm paying nothing!

On Friday morning I discovered that I will not be drinking milk in Italy! There are two options when buying milk. Either you can have interno (whole milk) or part fat. So I got that last one thinking its closer to 1% milk. So on Friday, I drank some for breakfast. About 20 minutes later, my stomach started hurting. Last time I went to the store, I got milk that said .01% so I think it will be ok. We'll see.

Friday we went and filled out an application for a residency permit. I found out that I didn't have all the right stuff copied from home. I had originals though. This morning (Saturday) was a mad hunt to find a place to copy all this stuff. Then we waited in line, and turn in our papers. Orientation is officially over!!! This orientation was so spread out and would cut into the middle of our day.

Last night I hung out with the roommates and we had a wonderful time. I'm not sure what the plans are for tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to see some scores from the Texas game. We'll see!! Love!




{Also, for those of you who have been asking me, I am planning on posting pictures on my apartment on Sunday! It is currently a mess so we'll see.}
