Normalcy

This time last fall I was living large in Italy, enjoying beautiful walks to class, wonderful food, tons of rain, and the adventure of a lifetime. I can't believe that a year has passed. I told my family and friends this summer that I'm ready to go back. Its true that I miss the excitment and the different experiences. Upon being back at school, I've been able to appreciate the "normalcy". I got to celebrate my friend Kelsey's birthday and just enjoy being with friends. I spend evenings quietly at home with my roommates. I get to enjoy being around my friends and feeling comfortable in my surroundings. I wasn't able to see what a HUGE blessing this was until now. While I had an amazing time, I did feel pretty disconnected from those that I love most. I'm glad to be here where I can connect daily with people I love and feel like I belong fully. I will not hesitate to go back when I get a chance, but for now I'm just enjoying my normal life :) Ciao
